Cardozo Society of Washington State

Co-Chairs:Aric Bomsztyk, Barokas Martin & Tomlinson, and Aaron Kiviat, Law Offices of Geoffrey Burg

The Cardozo Society of Washington State strengthens relationships among Jewish legal professionals and law students in Washington through education, leadership, and working together to enhance the quality of Jewish life in Washington, Israel and throughout the world. It is also the official Washington State Bar Association minority bar for Jewish lawyers in Washington.

Cardozo Society programming integrates legal and Jewish concerns to demonstrate the unique contributions the legal profession can make to improve the Jewish community at large.

The Cardozo Society provides opportunities for:

  • continuing legal education
  • socializing and professional networking
  • mentoring and public service
  • advocacy on issues of concern

Cardozo Society members are encouraged to take an active role in the work of tikkun olam (repairing the world) via the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle and the Washington Jewish community. While no minimum gift to the Federation is required to participate in Cardozo Society activities, those who make annual Community Campaign gifts of $180 or more will be listed as members of the Cardozo Society, and those who give $1,800 or more to the Community Campaign recognized as members of the Cardozo Honor Society.

We encourage all Jewish attorneys, legal professionals and law students to be in touch and contact Ariel if you would like to receive information about the Cardozo Society.

For more information on the Cardozo Society of Washington State, please contact Ariel Glassman, Community Development Officer, at Cardozo@JewishInSeattle.org or 206 774-2247.
