| The JTNews is a Seattle-based,
award-winning newspaper, providing local, national and international
news of Jewish interest to a readership of 16,000.
On March 6, 1924, The Jewish Transcript of the Pacific
Northwest made its appearance. Founder Herman Horowitz said he felt
it was his duty to his Jewish brethren to provide "the vehicle to represent
their ideas, aspirations and principles."
Those words remain true today. Though the Jewish Transcript
now has a new name, The JTNews remains first and foremost a community
newspaper. It serves as the primary source of news coverage of Washington
state's estimated 35-40,000 Jews.
The JTNews is owned by the Jewish Federation of
Greater Seattle. A lay board of directors oversees operation of the paper.
New subscribers can have the newspaper delivered to their
mailbox every other week for $25 a year.
The JT News also published The Guide to Jewish Washington
and the Northwest Jewish Family Magazine. Contact subscribe@JTNews.net or
call 206.441.4553 to order these publications.
